I've had this installed a while and so far it is performing flawlessly.The receiver has the option to "learn" codes for 3 transmitters, allowing you to monitor 3 areas simultaneously. Setup was easy - just plug the receiver in, hook up the battery to the transmitter, and wave your hand in front of it. That's it...the code is now learned and won't be forgotten, even if the power is turned off. There is also a button to "learn" other transmitters if needed. After "learning", mount the transmitter and you're done. The receiver can be mounted on a wall, or the leg popped out and set on a table or counter. The transmitters are not completely waterproof (no gaskets) and are intended to be mounted under an eave or somewhere that does not get rain directly on it. So if you want to monitor a driveway as I did, you will need to build some...
