 Exactly the monopod I need!, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Induro Alloy 6M Monopod AM34 (Black) (Electronics) I love it. As mentioned by the other reviewer, this is the current 8M version.I bought this to support my new BIG Canon 400mm 2.8L IS lens (11.8 lbs). The monopod is well built, has very nice smooth finish, and the twist lock works nicely. I prefer twist lock over flip lock, and most other top end models such as Gitzo also use that. Even though it's aluminum, it's so light that it will fool you into thinking it's carbon fiber. I have tried Gitzo's top of the line GT5541 tripod and the feel is quite comparable! The Gitzo is no doubt a top notch tripod, but I have since return it as I believe it's over priced as well as it's too big for my practical use. I will get a smaller tripod rated for 40 lbs instead. I would say the Gitzo G lock works slightly better, but Induro lock is very sooth and secure as well. I have no slippage issue so far. Time will tell if it's going to last. I trust aluminum more than carbon fiber as metal to metal to me has better bond than...
