This one does it.Overall, the image quality is quite good with its 420 vertical lines of resolution. Higher end consumer cameras tend to do a full 480 (some pro units do as much as 550 for SD), while lower end units do somewhere in the 350-380 area. Those extra lines over even 380 really do make a difference. The image is sharp, colors are good and (with a recorder that has enough resolution and compression quality) really allows you to identify someone in a zone of about 40-50 feet. Beyond that, without a zoom lens, faces are really too small to accurately tell apart unless you know the person. At night, within 25 feet or so, it does a great job of providing a clear picture. Beyond that, you'll want a camera with more night vision range. However, within that 25 feet, the picture is sharp with very minimal picture noise - just a bit of graininess from the iris... Read more Replacement usage, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Lorex Cvc6940 Weatherproof Color Indoor/Outdoor Bullet Camera with Night Vision (Electronics) The camera worked very well for replacement of MC7520 model but required an interface cable adapter to mate with existing system cable. Should be ordered with LOREX adapter if uised for replacement of camera only. Both cameras used 12 volt operation. The replacement camera did not provide audio but this feature was not used in old camera. |
