I bought it to remotely watch a bird feeding area, and it far exceeds my old stationary 640 mp security camera. And, the price is great for a 1mp camera with pan. It also has an adjustable focus for very sharp images. The memory system allows me to store several locations and the camera goes directly to them with no manual panning.The problems - I couldn't get the wireless IP system to work. I am network and computer literate, but was only successful in getting the wired system to work. It's OK with me because the location of the camera probably wouldn't get a good signal to my router on the antennas, but if you're depending on the wireless system you might be disappointed. I think it's the antenna fitting. It's well recessed and shows only a little of the screw threads. I was only to able to get about a half turn on the connector and I suspect the connector wasn't able to make connection with the receptical pin. The other... Works better with MS Internet Explorer (ActiveX) but with FF works as well (no voice and no motion detection sensitivity graphics display).It doesn't have the Infrared IR LED !!! (only White LED). |
